Trent Wilfinger, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Athlete ID & Development, has left the company after nearly three years on the job.
Wilfinger announced the news himself in a post on his LinkedIn profile, writing that after “a heck or a ride,” he’s excited to be turning the page to a new chapter.
“I will forever be grateful for my time at the WWE and all of the friends I made along the way. If you would have told younger me that one day my boss would be Triple H and that I would work closely with Shawn Michaels I would have had two words for you,” he wrote.
Wilfinger described the WWE Perfomance Center as a “special place” and a good reason why 98% of the WWE main roster goes through NXT.
“Lastly, thank you to all of the NXT Superstars. It truly was a privilege to work with you and I will forever be grateful that you let me be a small part of your journey,” he concluded.
In his role, Wilfinger lead the strategy and execution of identifying, recruiting, and developing the next generation of WWE Superstars.
