The Hollywood Report is carrying an exclusive story saying that TriStar Pictures is getting their hands on the biopic about WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
The movie is titled Pandemonium with Glenn Ficarra and John Requa in talks to direct. The duo are directors and executive producers of the hit television drama This Is Us. Craig A. Williams wrote the script, and Andrew Lazar, who produced American Sniper, is producing the project along with Michael Luisi, president of WWE Studios, and Adam Goldworm of Aperture Entertainment. Charlie Gogolak of Zaftig Films will executive produce.
THR reports that Pandemonium first hit Hollywood rounds last summer but studios hesitated as WWE and Vince McMahon did not give their blessing. Lazar eventually secured the rights and TriStar went all out to get their hands on it, even decorating their office with WWE memorabilia to impress, a move which apparently did the trick.
