There will be different ring announcers on Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown as WWE decided to swap Mike Rome and Samantha Irvin as part of the draft.
Irvin, the highly-regarded Smackdown ring announcer has now moved to the red brand and will be doing Raw duties from next Monday. She is currently engaged to Ricochet and WWE has kept all couples together in this draft, avoiding pissing off anyone by splitting them up on purpose.
Meanwhile, Mike Rome will now move to Smackdown. This is not the first time that Rome did ring announcing for Smackdown as he pulled double duty when Greg Hamilton was released until Irvin was brought in to fill the void. Rome had been on Raw since 2017.
