The next NXT Takeover will take place on Saturday, August 22 during the SummerSlam weekend and will be titled Takeover: XXX.
This is the 30th Takeover event and the second time that NXT is using Roman numbers only as the title of the show. The 25th Takeover carried the title Takeover: XXV last year.
Takeover: XXX was supposed to be Takeover: Boston and live from the TD Garden as part of the four-day SummerSlam weekend. But with WWE pulling that weekend from Boston back to the Performance Center, it was time to think of a new creative name that does not involve the city it will be taking place from.
So far, the only match confirmed is the ladder match to determine the new NXT North American champion.
