The Washington Post has published an article outlining WWE’s new domestic violence policy, a policy which has been added to the Talent Wellness Program.
When asked about the change, WWE told The Post that they have “watched and learned” from the NFL and the company felt it was important for them to establish a “zero tolerance policy for domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.”
The Post says that the new policy might be a little bit too late, mentioning the Chris Benoit double-murder suicide in 2007 and the Steve Austin domestic abuse claims by his ex-wife Debra Marshall in both 2002 and 2004.
