Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Naomi was negotiating a new deal with WWE when she walked out of the company this past Monday night on Raw.
Meltzer said that her contract was expiring soon but was in talks over a new one, and judging by recent new deals, she was in line to get an increase.
There have been no updates yet on the status of both Naomi and Sasha Banks, who both left their WWE Women’s Tag Team titles behind before leaving Raw.
Meanwhile, Naomi’s former tag team partner Ariane “Cameron” Andrew told SEScoops.com in an interview that Naomi would never have walked out unless she was being manipulated.
Acknowledging that Sasha is a top talent and deserves everything she got, she said that Banks is a star athlete that has a top agent behind her and other things going on for her while Naomi has no “extra boost” that would justify her walking out.
