Two number one contenders for the NXT and NXT Women’s title will be decided tonight on a loaded episode of NXT on USA Network.
The NXT women will be entering a battle royal to see who will face Io Shirai at the upcoming NXT Takeover on October 4. Those announced so far for the match include Aliyah, Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Indi Hartwell, Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter, Raquel Gonzalez, Rhea Ripley, Shotzi Blackheart, Tegan Nox, and Xia Li.
And the number one contender for the NXT title will be decided in a gauntlet eliminator match. Those in this match are Kushida, Cameron Grimes, The Undisputed Era’s Kyle O’Reilly, Timothy Thatcher, and Bronson Reed. The rules for this match are two individuals will start and new competitors join every four minutes. Pinfall or submission are the only way to be eliminated from the match and the last man standing wins, becoming the number one contender.
Also set for tonight is an NXT North American title match between champ Damien Priest and challenger Johnny Gargano.
