It looks like the previous plans for Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jim Ross to provide commentary for The Greatest Royal has been changed as WWE is advertising the duo in a different role.
The two WWE Hall of Famers will join fellow Hall of Famer Booker T on the Kickoff panel, a panel which will be anchored by Byron Saxton since Renee Young is not traveling with the crew. No women from WWE are making the trip unfortunately. Lawler and Ross last did commentary at WrestleMania earlier this month, calling the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal which coincidentally was also part of the Kickoff show that day. No announcement was made on who will be calling the five-hour event this coming Friday.
The Greatest Royal Rumble is sold out and over 60,000 fans will be in attendance for the show.
