Former Divas champion Brie Bella and her husband, Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan finally welcomed their baby daughter Birdie Joe Danielson, 11 days later than the expected due date. Baby Birdie was born on May 9, two minutes before Midnight, and weighed in at 8 pounds and 10 ounces.
“There is no better feeling in the world than meeting your daughter,” Brie said. “I can’t even express the overwhelming joy and love that Bryan and I are feeling. Now we know what parents mean about the love you feel when you first meet your child. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on the safety of Birdie coming into this world.”
Brie followed her husband’s footsteps and retired from her in-ring career at WrestleMania 32 after participating in a 10-Diva tag match during the Kickoff show. Daniel Bryan has been absent from Smackdown for the past two weeks as he was given time off to prepare for the arrival of his daughter.
