PWInsider.com is reporting that former TNA World champion Austin Aries is backstage at the CFE Arena for tonight’s NXT tapings and is expected to make his NXT debut.
Towards the end of November of last year, Aries was photographed arriving at Full Sail University and signed autographs for fans who waited outside prior to the NXT television tapings however Aries never showed up in front of cameras during the tapings.
The website also reports that Aries was in Pittsburgh earlier, undergoing the mandatory medical tests required prior to joining WWE.
The 37 year old has never stepped foot inside a WWE ring and made a big name for himself at Ring of Honor and at TNA where he had two stints, one in 2005 for two years, and then returning in 2011 till 2015.
