The Smackdown Women’s title will be defended at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view when Carmella takes on Asuka.
This is Asuka’s second shot at the title after losing her first match in her WWE career at WrestleMania against Charlotte Flair. Carmella then cashed in her MITB briefcase two nights later at Smackdown to win the title.
The Asuka vs Carmella match was made official by Smackdown General Manager Paige at last night’s show in London when she interrupted Carmella’s Royal Mellabration segment.
