PWInsider.com is reporting that Michael Elgin has sued Impact Wrestling, with the lawsuit filed on February 8 in the Circuit Court of Davidson County, Tennessee.
The former Impact Wrestling star is looking for over $5 million in compensation for breach of contract after Impact removed him from programming after allegations against him surfaced in June 2020 as part of the #SpeakingOut movement.
Elgin was accused of sending nude photos of himself under a fake name and other sexual abuse allegations. Impact suspended Elgin pending further investigations and fired Joey Ryan and Dave Crist, who were also accused of different acts.
A few days after he was suspended, Impact issued a statement saying that Elgin would no longer be featured on their television programming.
In the lawsuit, Elgin claims that Impact EVP Scott D’Amore told him that there was no investigation into any allegations and their decision not to use him was not based on anything beyond public disclosures.
Elgin also says that the company prevented him from working for Pro Wrestling NOAH in December 2020.
