In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that it was Diamond Dallas Page who found Scott Hall laying on the floor after he fell and broke his hip.
Hall spent a few days on the floor unable to move and unable to get to a phone to call for help and after friends tried to reach Hall and couldn’t, DDP was sent over for a welfare check. Hall was transported to a hospital immediately after.
Close friend Sean Waltman also added that Hall was in a bad shape after he resorted back to drinking due to the pandemic, where he was living alone. Waltman noted that Hall was down to 210 pounds and a month before his death, he had offered Hall to go and stay with him.
Hall underwent surgery for a hip replacement at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, but a blood clot resulted in three consecutive heart attacks, forcing doctors to put him on life support.
He passed away on March 14, a day after family members were told his situation was not going to improve. He was taken off life support and died a few hours later.
