The Revolution pay-per-view broke AEW records with 125,000 buys last week, fueled by the exploding barbed wire death match, the Hall of Fame-worthy mystery surprise, and Sting’s first match since 2015.
In figures reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, Revolution had 87,500 domestic buys and 37,500 international buys for a total of $5,200,000 in gross revenue. AEW only takes a percentage of that and made a net revenue of just over $2 million from pay-per-view sales.
The show also had nearly $75,000 in ticket revenue and an additional $21,000 in venue merchandise from 1,150 fans in attendance.
The 125,000 buys exceeds the Double or Nothing 2020 show which did 105,000 buys in May.
