All Elite Wrestling found a quick replacement for Jon Moxley at All Out and Kenny Omega will now be facing PAC at the pay-per-view.
Yesterday, Moxley announced that he will not be able to participate at All Out due to an elbow injury that requires surgery to treat. Moxley and Omega were supposed to go one-on-one as a continuation of what went down at Double or Nothing when Moxley debuted and attacked Omega.
Since then, Moxley was also allowed to wrestle for New Japan Pro Wrestling and participate in the G1 tournament and that’s where the injury happened.
Interesting enough, PAC was the original opponent for Kenny Omega all along but then negotiations between the two parties fell apart due to creative differences. PAC was supposed to take on Hangman Page at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view and he even appeared at their launch press event for a face-to-face with Page.
But that went out of the window after PAC refused the creative direction that AEW were going for and PAC vs Hangman took place on an indie show in the United Kingdom prior to Double or Nothing where PAC took out Page and said that since he beat him up here he doesn’t need to travel to Vegas for round two.
PAC, who is the former WWE Cruiserweight champion under the name of Neville, has not wrestled for any promotion in the U.S. since his departure from WWE in August 2018.
