William Regal will be missing tonight’s NXT Takeover: London as he had to be flown home due to medical issues.
“I’m incredibly sorry but I have had to return to the US to take care of some final details of my recent neck surgery that couldn’t be avoided any longer,” Regal wrote on his Twitter. “Again, I’m sorry that I cannot continue with the current tour but I’ll be back in 2016 to @WWENXT.”
Regal, an integral part of NXT as the on-screen General Manager as well as a major figure backstage at the WWE Performance Center, has been traveling with the crew in the United Kingdom for the tour and also held a one-man show on his own the day before the tour. He was supposed to do another one tomorrow but obviously that has been canceled.
